You search your own handle and find it on a page you never made: a “VIP” profile, a leak gallery, a Telegram channel selling “full packs”. Your name is being used to sell your content. It is one of the most common things creators bring to us, and it can be cleaned up.
This plan is the order we work in on every case like this. Do it in this order and you lose nothing along the way.
- Save every link and a dated screenshot before you report anything.
- Report the content as copyright and the account as impersonation. They are separate reports.
- Ask Google and Bing to delist the pages, so people searching your name stop landing there.
- Keep watching your username for a few weeks: copies come back under small variations.
Why your username ends up on leak sites
Leakers use your handle because people search for it. A page titled with your exact username ranks for your name, gets the traffic, and earns from ads, “premium” links or fake subscriptions.
- Leak galleries build a page per creator, named after the username.
- Telegram channels and bots use your name so they show up in Telegram search.
- Fake social accounts copy your name and photos to push a link in bio.
- Forums open request threads with your handle in the title.
Step 1: collect the evidence
Sites delete and reupload. Save first, report second.
- The full link of every page, post, channel and file.
- A screenshot of each one that shows the date and your content.
- The account or channel name, and any contact or payment details shown.
- Links to your official pages, to prove the content is yours.
Step 2: report the content and the account separately
Most platforms split these into two forms, and doing only one leaves half the problem:
Our removal guides list the real forms for Instagram, X, TikTok, Reddit, Telegram, Discord and Google, field by field.
Step 3: take it out of search
Even when a site ignores you, Google and Bing can remove the pages from their results. Fewer people find the leak, and the pages stop ranking for your name. See How to remove leaks from Google search results for the forms.
Step 4: lock down your own name
- Use the same username everywhere you sell, so fans learn which accounts are real.
- Link your official accounts from each other and from one link page.
- Add a short line to your bio, like “only official account, links below”.
- Put your handle as a watermark on your content, so every copy points to you.
