Creators get targeted from every side: fake support, fake agencies, fake buyers and fake “removal experts”. Every one of these scams has a tell. Learn the nine below and you will spot most of them in the first message.
- OnlyFans support will never ask for your password or a code by DM or email.
- A real agency does not need your login or an upfront fee to start.
- Nobody can guarantee “100% removal”. Paying a leak site to remove content funds it.
- When in doubt, go to the site yourself instead of clicking the link you were sent.
The nine scams
- 01Fake support messages“Your payout is on hold, verify your account here.” The link leads to a copy of the login page. Tell: urgency, a link, and a request for your password or code.
- 02Agencies that want your loginThey promise growth if you hand over your account. Some lock you out or take most of your earnings. Tell: login first, contract later.
- 03Upfront “management” feesPay a setup fee and they will make you famous. Tell: you pay before they do anything measurable.
- 04Paid removal promisesSomeone offers to delete your leaks for a fee, sometimes the leak site itself. Tell: “100% removal”, payment in crypto, no company name.
- 05Fake collab offersA “bigger creator” wants to collab, then asks for content first. Tell: they won’t do a quick video call.
- 06Off-platform paymentA fan offers more money if you take payment outside the platform, then disputes it or never pays. Tell: they insist on another app.
- 07Verification and promo fees“Pay to get verified” or “pay to be featured”. Tell: the platform never charges for this through DMs.
- 08SextortionSomeone threatens to send your content to family or employers unless you pay. Tell: threats with a deadline. Don’t pay; save everything and report it.
- 09Fake DMCA or legal threatsA message claims you broke copyright and must pay or click a link. Tell: no real company details, pressure to act now.
If you already fell for one
- Change your password and turn on two-step verification, on your platform and your email.
- Sign out of all other devices from your account settings.
- Tell your platform’s support, from inside the platform.
- Save messages, usernames and payment details, and report threats to the police.
Choosing an agency or a service safely
- They work under a written contract you can read first.
- They never need your password: real tools work without it.
- Prices and what you get are written down before you pay.
- You can cancel without a long notice period.
